The Manifesto

“I don’t sell investment products. I don’t sell insurance. I sell the truth about what it takes to leave the West and build a better life.”

Our Core Beliefs

Before we talk about me, let’s talk about what we stand for.

Geography is Arbitrage

Staying in a country that overtaxes and under-serves you is a bad trade. Moving to a jurisdiction where you are treated best is the ultimate wealth hack.

Retirement is an Upgrade

Most people "wind down" in retirement. We believe you should "level up." Better food, better weather, better service, and more freedom.

Loyalty is to Yourself

Patriotism is noble, but blind loyalty to a failing system is foolish. You owe it to yourself and your family to secure your own future first.

The Credentials

The "Cousin" Moment

In 2021, I was semi-retired, hiking through the UK. I stopped to visit my cousin, Denise, and her husband, Peter.

On paper, they were the picture of Western success: a solid pension pot, a paid-off house, and good health. But in reality? They were paralysed. They had spent three years researching a move to Thailand, joining every Facebook group, watching every YouTube video.

"We are more confused now than when we started," Peter told me. "And honestly, Neil? We are terrified of making a mistake."

That was the moment. I realised that financial wealth does not equal lifestyle confidence. You can have the money, but if you don’t have the roadmap, you’re paralysed.

My Journey: From Finance to Freedom

My career began in the rigid world of UK financial services. For decades, I helped clients build wealth within the system. But I always knew there was more to life than the grey skies and high taxes of Britain.

I spent years working as an expat in the Middle East, experiencing firsthand the power of geographic arbitrage—earning in a strong currency while living in a tax-efficient environment. It was a revelation.

Eventually, I settled in Southeast Asia. First Thailand, now Vietnam. I didn’t just move; I integrated. I learned the hard way about visas, healthcare, and property laws so that my clients wouldn’t have to.

Why I Stopped Selling "Products"

For 30 years, I worked in financial services. I saw how the industry works: advisors are incentivised to sell you products, not solutions. If they sell you a fund, they get paid. If they tell you to move to Vietnam and live like a king for £1,500 a month? They get nothing.

So I flipped the model.

I do not sell insurance. I do not sell investments. I do not take commissions.

I sell Strategy. My only loyalty is to you and your exit plan. If I tell you Thailand is a bad idea for your specific health needs, it’s because it’s the truth—not because I lose a commission.

Boots on the Ground

I am not a 25-year-old “digital nomad” writing this from a hostel. I am 64. I am your peer.

I live in Ho Chi Minh City. I navigate the visa runs, the healthcare systems, and the property markets of Southeast Asia every single day. I don’t just Google this stuff—I live it.

When you work with me, you are hiring a guide who has already walked the path you are about to take. I help you avoid the pitfalls, the scams, and the wasted time, so you can focus on enjoying the retirement you’ve earned.

Expert guidance for professionals planning their next chapter in Southeast Asia. Honest, practical, and tailored to you.
